Izushi Shrine Nobori Mawashi

On May 5 each year, local boys dress in traditional Shinto religous garb and wave streamers with various designs in commemoration of a local legend. Offerings are also made by individuals dressed in Noh theater attire.

The annual Kitamae Festival will be held for another year near Takeno Beach! As a fishing and port village with a long history as a stop on the Kita Mae ship routes, Takeno celebrates this heritage every year in May with a parade, food stalls, and concerts.
