Japanese-Style Room with Open-Air Bath with a View
We stayed in a Japanese-style room with an open-air bath with a view on the top floor on December 7, 2017. Our host, Ms. Nakai, was incredibly friendly and beautiful. She was incredibly attentive and efficient, and I was impressed by how everything was handled. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay from start to finish. The crab and 100g Tajima beef steak were absolutely delicious, filling, and incredibly satisfying.

Dinner is served in the room, so you don't have to worry about other guests. The dining area and bedroom are separate, so you don't have to worry about the smell of food after dinner when you go to sleep. The outdoor bath with a view was especially pleasant this time of year, as the outside temperature was cool, and the warmth was a perfect match. The breakfast was also hearty and filling. We had breakfast in a special room on the second floor. Since it was a special room on the top floor for just two groups of guests, we were able to enjoy our meal in complete silence.

Only one downside: the water pressure in the shower and toilet felt weak. I hope they improve this. The hospitality at Sento this time was the best, and it left a lasting memory for me, better than any other inn I've stayed at so far. Thank you very much. I'd like to stay again.

This traditional Japanese inn is conveniently located on the main street. The food is satisfying, and the crab porridge at the end is also excellent, with the staff even shredding the remaining crab meat for you. The Vietnamese girl was working hard with us, reminding us of something that Japanese people these days seem to have forgotten.

We truly enjoyed our stay here at Sento Ryokan! My partner and I were excited to experience traditional Japan, this was our first time ever going to a ryokan. We are grateful that we got to experience a traditional Japanese style room, and they provided us with Kimonos.

It was such a unique and fun experience for us. Me and my partner really love Japan's culture. We only stayed for one night but I wish we had stayed for longer! We were greeted warmly by staff, they were very accommodating and friendly to us. The room was extremely clean and spacious. The futons were very comfortable to sleep in, it was comfier than we both expected. The blanket was fluffy and soft. The room had a private bathroom and toilet which was nice as we preferred a private bathroom instead of a shared one.

They gave us a day pass for the public onsens. We got to try all of them during our stay here, while walking around in the Kimonos and the Geta footwear. The ryokan's location was amazing as everything was within walking distance. It drizzled a bit when we were there, the staff made sure to give us an umbrella so we don't get rained on. There is a shrine just outside the ryokan. Staff is very catering to foreigners despite the language barrier, they were kind and accommodating.

Perhaps next time we would like to try the traditional style ryokan food and the Sento Ryokan's onsens, as we didn't have time to try it. Thank you for allowing us to have a fun, unique and comfortable stay. We will cherish these wonderful moments! It was a pleasure. Thank you for taking care of us during our stay here.

I highly recommend Sento Ryokan especially for foreigners who are interested and love Japan's culture.

The staff are very kind and provide attentive service. The food is delicious. The indoor bath is spacious and comfortable. Although the facilities are old, this is a highly recommended inn.

Be careful, you can't bring coolers into your room at Kinosaki Onsen!
Kinosaki Onsen itself has an ordinance that prohibits bringing coolers into your room!

Sento is a Japanese inn. It has a nostalgic, old-fashioned atmosphere. The space was meticulously cleaned. It's an inn I'd like to use again.

Wish the lighting inside was warmer, not white, kind of ruins the atmosphere. Also the building and halls are quite Showa looking. Not a bad spot though for the price!

It's relatively cheap, but it's conveniently located in front of Gosho-no-Yu. There are izakayas, shooting ranges, ice cream shops, and souvenir shops nearby. Parking is free, and you can hand the key to the staff and they will move it from in front of the inn. There are free outdoor bath tickets and a large public bath. The two young male staff members were very kind and affable. However, you can't enter the inn or check in until check-in time at 3pm, so you have to kill time by hanging around outside. I only had breakfast, which was delicious, but I felt rushed as they kept taking away the small plates I had eaten.

There were a few points that caught my attention.
I was worried that I didn't know how to turn off the light at the entrance to the guest room, so I ended up sleeping in a blinding light. In that respect, I think it would have been better if the information had been written in an easy-to-understand location or had been displayed.

It was a very wonderful trip. I cannot thank all of our employees enough. thank you very much.

The location is perfect for visiting hot springs, and there are many restaurants around where you can eat while walking.
Customer service is also quite good. Although the price was low, I was very satisfied. I will definitely go again.

It was a girls' trip and we stayed overnight without meals.
The first floor has the appearance of a long-established inn.
Our room was on the third floor, but when we went up to the third floor, it felt a little scary.
I think the amenities included a toothbrush and hair dryer.
The view of the river from the room window was nice.
When visiting the public baths, the only thing you can wear in addition to the yukata is something thin, which is the same in both summer and winter, so I think you'll need to bring your own jacket as it gets cold.
It was cheap so I have no complaints.

外湯めぐりの拠点として便利！

建物は古さは否めないけど、快適性では私は問題ないかと思いました。むしろ夜の街歩きや、外湯巡りの拠点としてものすごく便利。
浴衣や帯の色をあーでもないこーでもないと選ぶ作業もすごく楽しくて良かったです。
夜ご飯の量もやや控えめな感じがちょうどよかった。夜も外湯とバーなどに繰り出して女子旅すごく楽しかったです。腹パンならこうはいかなかっただろうな。

夏だったので暑すぎで、外にいられず、いろいろなお店をはしごして、ずっと飲んでいる旅でした笑

The rooms are fairly spacious and the hotel is located in the center of the town next to some good onsen places. Highly recommend for visitors to get an onsen pass for your visit.
